Corinne D. Peterson was born on a farm
near Anoka, Minnesota and grew up climbing trees,
collecting rocks and exploring the surrounding countryside.
She attended college at North Park University in
Chicago, married and raised three sons. After that
she went to the University of Illinois at Chicago
for a Masters in Social Work and developed a psychotherapy
practice. While preparing for further study towards
becoming a Jungian analyst, she enrolled in a clay
class at the Lill Street Art Center. As her art work
developed, her goals shifted towards a career in
art. Her primary medium is clay, but she also uses
bronze, encaustic, and found objects. Currently,
she divides her time between studio work, commissions,
teaching, and community public art. Her work is
shown at Lillstreet Art Gallery and Perimeter Gallery
in Chicago.
