The Paradox/Pillar series
examines dualities hidden in the architectural
element of the pillar. The pillar rising up from
inside the earth supports the box, which in turn,
influences the earth.The markings on the box represent
the search for ways to understand life that resonate
with experience.
When kiln-fired to a vitreous state, these sculptures can be safely placed in outdoor settings, even in freezing climates.
